Genesis Successfully Raises Its Allocation of $500k with Significant Investment by Key Industry Personnel, Sells First Tonne & Secures New Property

Genesis Co. Pty Ltd has been established to produce high quality and high volume Australian algae products for domestic and international markets.

KEY MILESTONES:

  • Genesis has successfully raised its allocation of $500k in June 2017, with significant investment by key industry personnel in the commodity and finance sectors.
  • Following inaugural sales in May, Genesis has sold its first tonne of Chlorella at spot market prices of ~US$25,000/tonne (A$32,000).
  • Genesis secures 46 acre (18.74hectre) property in Bowen, Queensland 4805;
  • Two commercial-grade ponds are being commissioned at the new site, producing Chlorella and Spirulina.
  • Warehouse upgrade underway including laboratory setup.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES FOR THE REMAINDER OF CY17

  • A third pond is in construction phase with a commissioning date of September 2017. This pond is planned to produce the highly sought after Astaxanthin which has a spot market price of US$12,000/kg, making its production highly profitable.
  • Genesis is working with the research department of a reputable university to undertake the following:
    • Acceleration of protocols to transition the Algae into the red Astaxanthin state;
    • Establish nutrient packages to enable organic certification of Genesis’ product range.
