FoundAt Selected to Take Part in Plug and Play Japan Program

FoundAt is pleased to announce that they have been chosen to take part in the Summer/Fall 2021 Energy Batch 1 being run by Plug and Play Japan. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the team at Plug and Play Japan, as well as with their corporate partners. The program itself involves many opportunities to attend information sessions and webinars conducted by industry experts, Mentors and Government organisations. They are also able to meet with a range of industry-leading companies based out of Japan, across multiple market verticals, for the purposes of collaborating or establishing commercial relationships.

The program commences in June and culminates with a large Summit (so-called Demo Day) in September, where all participating startups are given the opportunity to pitch to a large audience, including Angel Investors, VC’s and Corporate Partners etc.

Since its inception in 2006, the Plug and Play accelerator programs have now expanded to include a presence in over 18 countries with 30 locations worldwide and has supported more than 2,000 startups around the world in 2020, with the aim of giving them the resources needed to succeed in Silicon Valley and beyond. Plug and Play have created the ultimate startup ecosystem, with over 500 official corporate partners. Plug and Play Ventures have invested in more than 1,000 companies, including Paypal, SoundHound, Course Hero, Dropbox, LendingClub, Honey, Guardant Health, N26, Rappi, Hippo, Apply Board, Kustomer, and BigID.

In 2020, Plug and Play invested in 162 new companies, 12 of which exited, and 4 of which became unicorn companies.
