Moving beyond pilots and trials, ArcoFlex has started to sell its silo monitoring solution to dairy farmers in the Colac region of Western Victoria. Every farm visited so far made an immediate purchase without having to be convinced. Whilst this is a small start, there are over 1,800 dairy farms in Western Victoria alone so this represents a significant commercial opportunity if this level of popularity holds up.

What has made ArcoFlex so appealing to these farmers is that it goes beyond just silo contents reordering. Most farmers also wanted their milk vat temperatures to be monitored. Running out of feed has productivity penalties but if the staff forget to turn the milk vat on, an entire day’s production can be lost. Until now, it has been very expensive hooking up different infrastructure to remote monitoring.

ArcoFlex Sensei’s flexibility helps solve multiple real world business problems with a single solution.
