UberEATS is supporting the former Fat Duck Chef, Matt Germanchis, to curate a menu of chef’s trademark dishes which are to be delivered hot and fresh in one single order from one central kitchen. Endulj is a platform in where customers order dishes from several restaurants at a time, to be cooked in a $400,000 purpose-built kitchen with delivery 365 nights a year.

KEY TAKEAWYS:

  • Endulj, opens new commercial kitchen in Glebe (Sydney) with plans to start delivering within eight weeks.
  • The chefs in whom have chosen to collaborate with Endulj, are from primarily “popular, hatted” restaurants and have previously refused to join food delivery platforms over fears of compromising their reputation and quality of food.
  • Endulj has taken over these “fears” as they have agreed to take full responsibility and manage the orders, creation, packing and delivery of each order/dish.
  • Engulj has signed with UberEATS for a more “integrated courier network” along with the added delivery platform giant investing capital into Endulj kitchen.

“I was drawn to the concept because of the multiple cuisines on offer,” says Germanchis, who was approached by a team of corporates and start-up specialists to join Endulj as a shareholder and business partner.

“So customers could order from several restaurants off one website, with cooking and delivery coming from our one kitchen.”

“We are not your normal suburban restaurant,” says Germanchis. “We have ambitions for this to work nationally, and to change up the whole home delivery space a little bit, put something more interesting out there, but keep it at a really high quality.”
