Vantari is officially across 4 hospitals nationally with Nepean Hospital coming on board as their latest customer. Driven by the Head of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Dr. Sam Orde, the software will be used by clinicians and junior trainees in the unit to practice medical procedures prior to performing them on real patients, reducing complications and error rates. Dr. Orde’s first impression? “It was incredible to see Vantari’s system and dream of the possibilities that open up to us”.
The three-year partnership will play a key role in kick starting the new phase of healthcare delivery in the Penrith region, given that the NSW Government has committed $550 million for Stage 1 of the Nepean Hospital Redevelopment which is expected to finish later this year. The upgrades will include a new expanded emergency department, a neonatal ICU as well as a hub for research and innovation – the perfect setting for implementation and expansion of virtual reality training.
Vantari will leverage the long-term partnership to build product capabilities, grow its user base and scale across other units at the hospital as well as grow into the larger Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, which covers 5 other training hospitals.
The future is bright.
About Vantari VR
Vantari is Virtual Reality training for Healthcare. They help doctors and students practice and perfect clinical procedures in VR in order to reduce medical error and save patient lives. Founded by clinicians in 2017, Vantari has positioned itself as the number 1 medical VR company in Australia with partnerships with major tertiary hospitals including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Westmead Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
They are a B2B SAAS business with a scalable digital platform which combines standardised learning with performance tracking to establish a new gold standard of procedural training. Their user engagement/satisfaction is >95% when compared to incumbents such as mannequins and cadavers which are unrealistic and do not mimic real life scenarios or complications. Their platform addresses all of these pitfalls and aligns with college guidelines to also reduce the subjective learning that occurs from traditional apprenticeship.
