Hatcher Plus – Overview

ABOUT

Three years ago, the data science team at Hatcher+ began researching venture capital returns with a single goal in mind: generating predictable returns.  Since that time, we’ve analysed over 600,000 transactions and generated more than four billion virtual portfolios.  This research shows conclusively that larger, well-diversified portfolios can deliver better, more predictable returns to venture investors.

Over the past eighteen months, we have analysed over eighteen thousand applications and completed over a hundred early-stage investments.  Over the next three years, we want to make two thousand more investments in promising, early stage companies.  We are currently managing over USD30M of AUM and the IRR for our H1 fund currently exceeds 16%.  Investors in the H2 Fund include Coca-Cola Amatil, Midis Group, Mistletoe, and other leading family offices and angel investors. We are seeking to grow our AUM to USD250M within the next two years.

UNIQUE INVESTMENT APPROACH

Our approach to investing – and our combination of large-scale research, deep learning, business process automation, and community-based co-investment is truly unique.  The scale of our deal flow allows us to build large-scale portfolios with leading founders located around the world – and share this deal flow with our LPs, providing them with the ability to co-invest alongside us, and our global community, on a zero-fee, zero-limit basis.

Finally, our Venture Exchange Traded Note (ISIN# XS1757381006) structure allows investors to invest in venture capital starting with a little as USD50,000 – and trade in and out of the Fund on leading exchanges around the world.

Forget Startups: Why Magnetic Alliance is Betting on “Boring” Mid-Market Turnarounds

While Australia’s venture capital scene spent years chasing unprofitable tech startups and speculative high-growth plays, Mark Lim was quietly taking a radically different path. The Managing Partner of Magnetic Alliance Capital sees the nation’s richest investment opportunities hiding in plain sight: inside thousands of unglamorous, profitable, but operationally sluggish mid-market businesses. Speaking on Wholesale Investor’s […]

The asset class where the market has no vote

Litigation funding returns are decided in a courtroom, not a cycle. Knightsbridge’s Head of Capital is careful to call that a different risk rather than a lower one, and his answer to it is spread, not concentration. Most alternative assets still answer to something. Property answers to rates. Private credit answers to defaults. Even the […]

The listing fee vendors pay whether the house sells or not

Australia’s property portals collect more than $2 billion a year while national listings sit flat. An Australian-built AI platform is targeting the economics, not just the interface. An Australian vendor listing a home pays a vendor-paid advertising fee on top of agency commission. Rama Dwarapudi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RealSearch, puts a typical […]
