TAIM September 18

The month of August saw most of Australia’s top listed companies report their FY2018 results with the ASX200 index continuing its recent positive performance advancing +0.6%, and the ASX200 Total Returns gaining +1.4%, during the month.

The relatively subdued nature of the general market, however, belied some significant individual stock price movements, both positive and negative, as companies reported results and updated their current outlook.

Both TAIM Funds had an outstanding month, continuing their significant outperformance of the broader market. Our TAIM Momentum Fund finished the month with an overall gain of +8.9%, and our TAIM Leverage Fund an exceptional +11.8%. Our since inception gains over 11 months now stand at +27.7% and +39.9% respectively.

About TAIM Investments

TAIM Investments operates two Australian equities investment funds. Both have exhibited exceptional performance, during an initial 4-year small-scale-offering period, and now under the company’s own AFSL. Both funds have an Australian blue chip focus – portfolio of 20 ASX200 equities, long only, no short-selling or derivatives – and we use an automated quantitative approach to deliver superior performance.

The asset class where the market has no vote

Litigation funding returns are decided in a courtroom, not a cycle. Knightsbridge’s Head of Capital is careful to call that a different risk rather than a lower one, and his answer to it is spread, not concentration. Most alternative assets still answer to something. Property answers to rates. Private credit answers to defaults. Even the […]

The listing fee vendors pay whether the house sells or not

Australia’s property portals collect more than $2 billion a year while national listings sit flat. An Australian-built AI platform is targeting the economics, not just the interface. An Australian vendor listing a home pays a vendor-paid advertising fee on top of agency commission. Rama Dwarapudi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RealSearch, puts a typical […]
