Sprint Energy Limited – Requested for Suspension Extension

Sprint Energy Limited (ASX: SPS, “Sprint”, “Company”) refers to the suspension request made to the ASX by the Company on 31 August 2012, in relation to a pending capital placement.
Based on advice by the lead broker in the placement, Merchant Capital, finalization of the placement has been further delayed due to a number of unforeseen events, thus Sprint is hereby requesting a further temporary suspension of trading to last from receipt of this request until the release of the announcement, in any case no later than the commencement of trading on 6 September 2012.
