Soar announces version 0.2 release

Soar Developers are pleased to announce the release of Soar 0.2. This will be the final major release prior to the Main net launch in April. New factoring and features include the creation of a mobile version, the addition of coordinate displays on the map and URL shortener capability.

Mobile soaring enables users to share and explore drone and satellite imagery have been added. Users are still required to use a desktop computer for advanced options such as uploading content.

Major refactors include the replacement of QuikNode and Infura with a Soar service for reading drone information, which substantially improves performance and loading time. Upgrades have been made with new engineering to the build tools and upgrades to scripts, React and Typescript.

A variety of bug fixes, improvements and minor changes have also been made to increase the performance of the platform.

The Soar platform is designed to offer the international community a decentralised marketplace for high-quality drone, aerial and satellite imagery, that connects customers with content creators in a secure, trustless and distributed community leveraging blockchain technology. Soar will very soon be the platform for all future mapping, imagery and geospatial information.

Hobbyist drone operators through to professional organisations will be able to monetise unused content in a marketplace driven by the free market forces of supply and demand.
