Seymour Whyte (ASX:SWL) – Posts Strong Full Year Result

Highlights – 12 months to 30 June 2013

  • Net profit after tax (NPAT) of $9.3 million, derived from $282.4 million in total revenue
  • Cash holdings up 53% to $47.7 million
  • Full year dividends up 2.00 cents per share to 8.00 cents per share
  • Basic earnings per share (EPS) up to 11.9 cents in FY13 from 11.4 cents in FY12
  • Profit margin up to 3.3% in FY13 from 2.9% in FY12
  • Win rates have improved from 9% in FY12 to 20% in FY13
  • Order Book of $246 million

Infrastructure engineering and construction group Seymour Whyte Limited (ASX: SWL) today announced a 4.7% increase in Net Profit After Tax to $9.3m for the year to 30 June 2013, slightly exceeding earnings guidance.

Basic Earnings per share (EPS) increased to 11.9 cents, from 11.4 cents previously while net tangible assets (NTA) increased 14% to $44.4 million, up from $38.8 million in FY12.
The increase in NTA was primarily attributable to a large increase in the company’s cash holdings, which were up 53% to $47.7 million.
