We are delighted to announced our new ecommerce platform will be live by the end of July.  This is a bespoke PHP coded website that will enable a far greater level of functionality and interaction.  It will also allow us to substantially increase our range of goods and the way we present them to consumers.  We have made great strides in terms of the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) of our website and we have seen web traffic double in the past three months!

Over the course of the summer we have marketing campaigns running in Tatler, Vanity Fair and GQ magazines, as well as Abode2 (the world’s leading luxury property platform) and the industry publications The Jeweller and Retail Jeweller.  As the new site goes live, we are also launching radio advertisements and mobile retargeting campaigns to further increase our reach.

We were pleased to take part in a recent Channel News Asia report on how businesses are coping with COVID-19 and we are in the process of making editorial contributions to a number of media publications and outlets.  After a successful appearance at the CRIISP Wholesale Investor Emergence 2020 in Sydney in February, we are going to attend the next London event, once the lockdown has been lifted, dates to be confirmed.

Later this year we are planning a media conference in London with some of the leading journalists in our industry and the SME space.  This will lead on to a future event in Colombia, encompassing a visit to the Muzo mine, in the Boyacá region of the country, as well as presentations from some of the leading figures in the industry in our offices in Bogotá.

As we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, some interesting new opportunities are coming to light!  Globally coloured gemstones are around 30% below their usual wholesale price so for the remainder of May we are offering both new and existing investors a bonus issue when they invest.

We have two investment vehicles:

1.)    EIS (Enterprise Investment Scheme) equity.

2.)    Loan Notes – over a 5-year term, with exit options after 12 months, paying a high fixed income coupon (interest) monthly.

This is how it works:

Until 31st May 2020 we are offering a 10% bonus issue.  For example, if you invest £10,000 you will receive an additional £1,000 in either equity or loan notes gratis.

Forget Startups: Why Magnetic Alliance is Betting on “Boring” Mid-Market Turnarounds

While Australia’s venture capital scene spent years chasing unprofitable tech startups and speculative high-growth plays, Mark Lim was quietly taking a radically different path. The Managing Partner of Magnetic Alliance Capital sees the nation’s richest investment opportunities hiding in plain sight: inside thousands of unglamorous, profitable, but operationally sluggish mid-market businesses. Speaking on Wholesale Investor’s […]

The asset class where the market has no vote

Litigation funding returns are decided in a courtroom, not a cycle. Knightsbridge’s Head of Capital is careful to call that a different risk rather than a lower one, and his answer to it is spread, not concentration. Most alternative assets still answer to something. Property answers to rates. Private credit answers to defaults. Even the […]

The listing fee vendors pay whether the house sells or not

Australia’s property portals collect more than $2 billion a year while national listings sit flat. An Australian-built AI platform is targeting the economics, not just the interface. An Australian vendor listing a home pays a vendor-paid advertising fee on top of agency commission. Rama Dwarapudi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RealSearch, puts a typical […]
