LifeArt, the founders and manufacturers of environmentally friendly, cardboard coffins are offering print market leaders the opportunity to diversify their business. 600, 000 coffins made in the UK alone every year, with 85% used for cremation services. The result is potentially carcinogenic dust and large amounts of waste and biomass fuel.

In response, LifeArt created the world’s first environmentally friendly, fully personalised, affordable enviroboard cremation coffin. Compared to standard cremation coffins, they use 80% fewer trees and emit 87% less nitrous oxide. They are engineered to surpass all weight bearing standards offering a sturdy yet lightweight alternative to standard particle board or MDF.

LifeArt are currently on a global expansion path with a recently opened global innovation centre based in Gloucester in the UK. Partnering with Agfa Graphics, LifeArt has installed an Agfa Jeti Mira LED wide format press into the new facility with all artwork colour matched by the Agfa Asanti workflow. This allows the customer to completely customise their chosen coffin with a graphic of their choice at an affordable price.

UK LifeArt Managing Director, Simon Rothwell, has established partnerships with print groups in Europe and is now seeking print group partners to lead their UK expansion. LifeArt are seeking local print businesses to supply the UK market. LifeArt provide their supply chain and technology whilst the printers print, cut, wrap, glue and assemble the coffins for local supply.

As the only environmentally-friendly, fully customisable coffin provider on the market, LifeArt are committed to dominating the space across the globe.
