Guarda Systems attended the World of Concrete Trade Show in Las Vegas on 22-25 Jan. The World of Concrete is the world’s largest trade show for the concrete construction industry with over 1500 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors. Our booth looked stunning and was, at times, swamped with visitors.

Interest in our products was very strong from end-users, distributors, large retailers, equipment rental companies and global manufacturers (OEM’s). We had some of the world’s largest OEM’s visit the booth and register interest in the technology on the Edge Powercutter.

As a result of the show we have some pre-sales, many sales and distributor leads as well as follow-up meetings planned with key OEM’s.

The Tri-Vac technology on our Edge Powercutter controls slurry, fumes and silica dust like no other concrete saw. Using a unique and differentiated approach, the Edge provides a number of key safety and cleanliness benefits that proved very attractive to show participants.

In particular, because of the focus on silica dust regulations around the world, the industry is looking for better solutions to protect workers and to meet tough new regulations. The Edge Powercutter does that and the product benefits are obvious to the industry from the overwhelmingly positive response we received at the show.

The Edge Powercutter is due for release in the US and Australian markets in April 2019. Two other products, the FTR095 Saw and Fume Tube are now available and a further product will be launched in the 1st half of 2019.

The asset class where the market has no vote

Litigation funding returns are decided in a courtroom, not a cycle. Knightsbridge’s Head of Capital is careful to call that a different risk rather than a lower one, and his answer to it is spread, not concentration. Most alternative assets still answer to something. Property answers to rates. Private credit answers to defaults. Even the […]

The listing fee vendors pay whether the house sells or not

Australia’s property portals collect more than $2 billion a year while national listings sit flat. An Australian-built AI platform is targeting the economics, not just the interface. An Australian vendor listing a home pays a vendor-paid advertising fee on top of agency commission. Rama Dwarapudi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RealSearch, puts a typical […]
