DroneShield to Protect 30th SEA Games

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO or DRO.AU) (“DroneShield” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has been contracted to provide counterdrone protection for the 30th Southerneast Asian Games held in the Philippines from 30 November 2019 to 11 December 2019. The Games are expected to include 11 participating nations and approximately 9,000 athletes, and consist of 530 events across 56 sports. The event is expected to attract an audience of approximately 500 million viewers.

DroneShield has sold and received payment for, several of its products for the deployment at the Games. Additionally, the event will be utilised as a product demonstration opportunity to a large number of event security organisers, law enforcement and militaries across the region and globally.

DroneShield’s CEO Oleg Vornik commented, “Mass crowd events are a core market for DroneShield, with our prior deployments including the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games and ASEAN over the recent year alone.”
