Optiscan is pleased to announce it has today accepted the first purchase order from Carl Zeiss for its neurosurgery systems.
As foreshadowed in the shareholder update of June 6, these are pre-production prototypes of Optiscan’s rigid endomicroscopy system for neurosurgery to be exclusively supplied to Carl Zeiss, the world’s number one supplier of neurosurgical visualisation equipment. The systems will facilitate the final steps in the regulatory process, and it is expected they will be deployed in clinical trials with key opinion leaders.
The order, valued at approximately $800,000, is expected to be fulfilled in August as assembly of the
prototypes is already largely complete.
This order marks a major milestone in the development of the neurosurgery market for Optiscan’s
technology in partnership with the relevant world leader, Carl Zeiss.
