BioGenesis announces first bulk order shipment to China

Overview

Genesis Co. is pleased to announce the shipment of our first bulk order to China through Metcash Asia Limited. This order has seen the development and release of new packaging and labelling to meet Chinese regulations and standards. To support the sales and marketing effort in China, a full promotional suite has been developed targeting all demographics for in-store and online support. This promotional material will also be adapted for our global program.

General Update

Our new product packaging has been launched bringing a fresh and premium image to our product range. We have taken the opportunity to consolidate our product range and sizes to the three main varieties as summarized in the table below. Our Spirulina product is now in full commercial production with product available in both powder and tablet forms. These two developments are very exciting for us, enabling broad promotional opportunities in Australia and overseas.

We recently received USA FDA approval enabling us to bulk ship to the USA from our facilities in Australia. We have engaged Golden Grove Global, a US based company specialising in managing Australian products in the US market. We are expecting to deliver our first bulk shipment once USA specific labelling updates have been completed. Our Brazilian distributor is finalising import approvals for our products into Brazil and the South American markets. We look forward to exporting shipments to Brazil over the coming period.

Our facility and capacity expansion program has been progressing rapidly with the arrival of our new spray dryer and centrifuge, plus the construction of additional large ponds. These will be fully commissioned over the coming weeks, bringing our total productive capacity to approximately one ton per week.

Over the coming period, a focus of the company will be preparing for the Shanghai Expo (CIIE Expo) 5-10 November. This is one of the world’s largest expos focused on bringing products to the Chinese market. Supported by Metcash and our promotional partner in China – the Export Group Limited, we envisage this event will provide tremendous product and brand exposure to the broad Chinese market.
