Peak Medical wins Innovation District Challenge; partnering with top research facilities in Australia, to accelerate their growth.

Macquarie University, Western Sydney University and CSIRO united to deliver the Innovation Districts C19 R&D Challenges (IDC), designed to accelerate businesses working for a better future post-COVID-19.

The IDC project is a $3 million investment by the NSW Government in the state’s innovation ecosystem to fast-track products and services that address pandemic-induced challenges in our working and personal lives.

Technologies that support remote business operations, working from home, remote communications, remote sensing and monitoring, cybersecurity and the Internet of Things, as well as remote health and medical solutions supporting telehealth, mental health and resilience, were all focused on.

Peak Medicals product aims to reduce traffic into hospitals through delivery of health services post operation at home. Reducing the transmission risk of Covid-19 whilst reducing the cost and barriers associated with accessing Healthcare.

These invaluable resources made possible by the NSW Treasury, CSIRO, Mr Lance Chia and Western Sydney University will fast track our product into peoples homes as early as June 2021, says Founder, Hayley Saddington. “Our mission is to change how people access Healthcare for the better, its often too costly or difficult to access, keeping people healthy at home will reduce community transmission of COVID-19 – these are some of the challenges we overcome with our new technology”.
