Commercial Property Market Grinds Down

“Real estate finance specialist Newground Capital Partners continues to fund projects – it recently provided a $19 million junior secured finance facility (alongside senior lender NAB’s $49 million) for an $82 million retail project on the Gold Coast.”
However, Newground managing director Daniel Erez said he knew of many financiers who were having to pull out of deals due to investors pulling their commitments to fund.
“We are already witnessing margins increase as a result of the reduction in competition,” Mr Erez said.
