Radio Podcast – New Technology to Combat Silicosis

Our Managing Director (Craig Penty), was extremely pleased to be invited to participate in a podcast with Perth radio station 6PR. The podcast discussed the issue of silicosis in the workplace and how Guarda technology represents an innovative and more effective solution to the problem.

“It was a real milestone for our business to be given the opportunity for a live discussion about the issue of silicosis and explain in person how our technology can provide a solution. We’re looking forward to this being the first of many to come,” said Craig following the podcast.

Business News WA Article – Saw Cuts into Silica Emissions

For the second time in a few years, Guarda Systems features in a prominent article in the Business News WA publication. The article profiled both Craig Penty (MD) and Steve Terpstra (Head of R&D) and explained how the ‘Edge Powercutter’ Saw will revolutionise the handling of silica dust emissions.

It’s great to have our technology being given the exposure it deserves in these various media publications” said Steve. “Now that we have the product manufactured it’s a much easier story to sell as we can now demonstrate how it works and show the massive benefits it offers.”

About Guarda Systems

Guarda Systems is a Perth based company that designs, develops and manufactures equipment for masonry cutting in the construction industry.  They have invented a range of equipment that uses patented, revolutionary technology to protect the health of workers. This technology (Tri-Vac ™) reduces the level of silica dust and slurry material that workers are exposed to well below industry limits and removes Carbon Monoxide (CO) completely from the work area. Global manufacturers have not been able to replicate this.
