Australian fintech start-up Pelikin is making the use of prepaid visa cards around the world a much simpler process. Pelikin is a prepaid visa card that pairs with a smartphone app that can be used around the world and void of any international transaction fees. This easy to load card allows users to make multiple transactions in multiple currencies and split bills in whatever currency they require.

Pelikin was created by young Aussies who travel and made for young Aussies who travel, dedicated to providing an end-to-end platform for young Aussie travellers. The partnership with Travel By Us allows Pelikin to offer travel insurance for its users, all managed within the app. It offers a broad range of insurance packages from the young to elderly, those with medical conditions, those who are pregnant and those looking for extra cover for certain activities.

Next is an official launch within Australia with the product due for release in October 2019.

Pelikin is available on the Google and Apple App Stores, in invite only mode until it’s official market launch in October 2019.
