DocDoc has announced an expansion into Hong Kong securing their latest investment from Cyberport Macro Fund (CMF) and the opening of a new office in Hong Kong’s Cyberport. Cyberport has rapidly accelerated the growth of Hong Kong’s technology community with the establishment of an innovative digital community hub. It has cemented itself as a key economic driver for Hong Kong.

DocDoc operates in 8 countries worldwide with more than 23 000 doctors utilising the platform. It is Asia’s leading patient empowerment company enabling patients to find the right care at the right time. DocDoc combines expertise in clinical informatics, artificial intelligence, and healthcare quality assessment to deliver simple patient solutions worldwide.

Through investment from CMF, DocDoc will expand its market presence in Hong Kong, strengthening its network of doctors within the region. It also opens up DocDoc to insurance companies as a value-added service, bringing new innovation and momentum to Hong Kong and Asia insurance markets.

The latest investment from CMF brings DocDoc’s total funding to date to US$18.5 million.
