Aquabotix had announces it agreement to support the United States Navy’s Forward Deployed Energy and Communications Outpost (FDECO) program as a member of the Innovative Undersea Prototype Development Consortium. This consortium brings together the defence industry to conduct prototype technology research in support of FDECO’s goal.
Aquabotix is a Sydney and US-based robotics company who manufactures drone devices capable of functioning in any body of water. They were accepted as a member due to their positive
contribution they will be able to make towards the FDECO’s mission to find a prototype that deployable undersea with data management and communication capabilities. Aquabotix have
developed and manufactured their SwarmDiver Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) which fits what the US Navy were looking for. As a member of the consortium, Aquabotix will be able to bid on research and development and strengthen their relationships with other defence companies and the US Navy.
