After taking delivery of three single seat simulators earlier this year, the diversified Qatari trading group, Al Mana, has ordered another Boeing 737 flight simulator from New Zealand-based Pacific Simulators (Pacsim), which will operate as Flight Experience Doha from one of Al Mana’s many entertainment venues.

Al Mana Entertainment General Manager, John Becker was pleased in awarding the contract to Pacsim. “We have had a long association with Pacific Simulators and we are excited to finally be opening the first Flight Experience in Doha. We are planning to establish the outlet in the new Mirqab Mall near the centre of Doha. The simulator will compliment our other outstanding entertainment products, but provide a unique and exciting opportunity for anyone to experience flying a Boeing 737”.

The ProJet PS4.5 flight simulator is Pacsim’s top of the range model, priced at over NZ$600,000. The device is built using actual Boeing 737 aircraft parts that have been refurbished from decommissioned aircraft out of the US. The level of fidelity and accuracy to the real aircraft is very high, with the software and visual systems creating the sense of being in the real aircraft. The simulator will be delivered in Q2 2018 and operational be the middle of the year. The simulator will be the only one of its type in Qatar.
