MBD Energy Ltd – CEO Interview

MBD provides a cost effective solution to the clean-up of industrially contaminated waste-water while it produces a valuable algal biomass by-products that will generate significant secondary income streams. MBD is currently focused on the deployment of four projects:

Pacific Reef Fisheries — This project enables the MBD land-based aquaculture enterprise to attain the necessary regulatory approval to undertake significant expansion. MBD will be paid to clean the water and generate additional profit from the sale of high-value food and agricultural feed by-products by undertaking this project.

Astaxanthin Production — MBD has achieved world-leading productivity in the cultivation of Astaxanthin, a red dye used in the nutraceuticals and food industries, which has a current value exceeding $250 per kg on the global market.

China Joint Venture — MBD is developing a JV in China with Shandong Ocard for the clean-up of nutrient contaminated water throughout the Provence of Shandong. The joint venture will convert the resultant algal biomass into fertilizer and synthetic bio-crude.

Ratchaburi Power Station — A JV with Loxley Pc, Ratchaburi and Bangchak Petroleum in which MBD convert the harvested biomass into refinery-ready synthetic bio-crude.  This project is funded by the JV partners and the Thai Government.
