Latest update on Anthill Gold Project was recently provided by Intermin Resources (ASX: IRC) wherein it was revealed that the company, for two quarters in 2017, had achieved 45 angled
holes and one diamond hole to varying depths. This gold project is located in Western Australia, 54 km to the north-west of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Occupying Eastern Goldfields and adjacent to the Zuleika Shear, Anthill is characterized by a geology wherein basalt is the dominant component and there are two distinct mineral trends, one of them being gold. Because it occurs in a variety of settings, not only is the mineralization of gold pervasive but some of the gold that is mined also has a coarse texture, thus enabling easy
visibility in RC chips.
As per the disclosure, gold deposit at Anthill can be described as a blanket located at a certain depth above other types of rocks. The extent of mineralization spreads over a strike length of 140 meters and is strongly influenced by the unique structure of the region. A sampling of the deposit at Anthill has occurred using the technique of Reverse Circulation (RC) and all the samples were analyzed in Kalgoorlie at SGS Laboratories.
All through the analysis, sample weights were duly recorded and ranged between 2 and 3 kgs. Other parameters included drilling technology, estimation methodology, classification of resources and cut-off grade used for the purpose of quotation.
Going ahead, Intermin intends to expand its resource extension exercise in June 2018, and commence new drilling at a depth of 14000 meters. Results obtained will be added to the database of the company and the next resource update would be released sometime in September 2018.
