Giles Karhan, Director of Valloop Australia
Giles has worked in senior management roles across both equities and debt funds management for over 20 years.
He has worked for large Australian banks, wealth managers and boutique fund managers.
He is currently the founder and CEO of Rocking Horse Finance which finances against government R&D benefits in Australia and the UK to support portfolio company cash flows and accelerate growth.
Rocking Horse was originally funded in the angel phase from the pioneers of the Australian VC and PE industry. He was able to successfully bring in both HNW investors as well as the leading Australian business bank to build a debt portfolio of some of the best Australian early stage companies. In 2019 Giles sold Rocking Horse to a US hedge fund and whilst he still works in the business had a successful exit.
As an entrepreneur Giles has significant experience and success. His exposure to thousands of SME’s gives him a unique set of skills to bring to Valloop.
Giles has an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA) and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) from Australia National University, Canberra.
