5 Ps of Capital Raising for Founders

Preparation

Get started with your capital raise by preparing:

1) your Deal Room,

2) a List of Potential Investors, and

3) a List of FAQs

Profile

Once you’re ready, start profiling your opportunity to make it as visible as possible to investors.

Promotion

You should find creative ways to promote your offer to capture investor attention and attract their interest.

Presentation

Now, you’re ready to pitch. This could mean:

– participating in conferences, or

– doing demo days, or

– hosting webinars and information sessions, or

– hosting boardroom lunches, or

– one-on-one meetings.

Publishing

This is really important. If you’re crossing significant milestones related to revenue or product, or bringing on new board members, you should publish these updates in print, video or email to communicate them to your investors.
