Surf Lakes Secures Site For Full Scale Prototype

After an exhaustive 12 mths search across Australia, Surf Lakes has finally secured a site located in mid-north QLD, upon which the first full scale Surf Lake will be constructed. Initially it will be run as a prototype for demonstrations, media and ongoing R&D. However it has the potential to be upgraded to a full commercial surf park due to its location and the favorable climate in the area. Positive attributes of the site are:
- Large land area, suitable to expand to a commercial site in the future (land is sufficient for car parking, buildings, etc)
- Access to clean, low cost water
- Positive land owners and supportive local council
- Located in a tropical climate which is suitable for night surfing
- Close driving distance to several major population centres and only a short flight from Brisbane
