John Kavanagh on Wimp 2 Warrior: The programme that reminds him of why he started coaching MMA many years ago

Wimp 2 Warrior is a global digital marketing and media platform that leverages exisiting gym infrastructure across the combat sports and martial arts sectors to deliver our internationally famous proprietary training programs.

Their footprint is established across 7 countries including elite partners in North America, U.K. and Ireland.

The programme is backed by Irish Martial arts coach, brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and former professional mixed martial artist, John Kavanagh.

Kavanagh has trained numerous students, including well renown fighters Conor McGregor, Eden Payne, Bayley Dynan and Gunnar Nelson.

Kavanagh has been involved with Wimp 2 Warrior for 1 year after founder, Richie Cranny, reached out to him, and states that the more he looked at Wimp 2 Warrior the more ‘intrigued’ he felt.

Wimp 2 Warrior aims to build people’s confidence, targetting MMA beginners and putting through 22 weeks of full training.

Kavanagh says: “I got into martial arts because it was a way to make me a more confident person, Wimp 2 Warrior brought me back to that.

“It’s amazing to see the mental and physical changes within the students over a period of time.”

Kavanagh feels that martial arts is a vehicle for people bettering themselves.

He says: “My involvement with Wimp 2 Warrior will be there until the very end.”

The programme is still in the growth phase however it has been growing very quickly, highlights including featured pieces with ESPN and a W2W documentary broadcast on Fox Sports Australia.
