KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  • As the latest update released by Collaborate’s DriveMyCar on 29th May, 2018, the business unit has signed an agreement with Melbourne based parking service Busy
Beaver to provide pick-up and drop option for Tullamarine airport.
  • Vehicle facilities will be provided round the clock and all through the year and in addition there would also be a 6-minute shuttle service that would be made available free
    of charge.
  • DriveMyCar also intends to offer its members in Victoria the option to utilise their idle vehicles by giving them out on rent wherein the company would be responsible for all
aspects ranging from charges to storage and upkeep.

One of Collaborate’s business units, namely DriveMyCar, released an update on 29th May, 2018, wherein it announced that it had signed an agreement with major parking entities in Melbourne.
The objective is to expand services in the city and provide RACV members with parking benefits at the airport courtesy Busy Beaver.

Subsequent to this agreement, Collaborate will operate under the name RACV DriveMyCar and provide customers with pick-up and drop facilities to and from Tullamarine airport. Interested
customers will be able to avail the facilities from Busy Beaver Parking Area 24/7/365, starting June 2018 through DriveMyCar and RACV channels. Provision is also being made to provide a
6-minute shuttle service to and from the Tullamarine airport free of charge.

RACV DriveMyCar also plans to offer its members the facility of managing their vehicles and providing them with an extra income in case it might be lying idle. There are times when vehicles are not used as much as they should be owing to the owners being away on extended vacations or working elsewhere. In such a situation DriveMyCar would put the vehicle under its
ManageMyCar service wherein every aspect from rental handover to storage and maintenance of the vehicle would be taken care of.

CEO of Collaborate, Chris Noone, commented that this association with Busy Beaver and RACV was expected to boost Collaborate’s efforts to strengthen its foundation in the vehicle
supply-and-demand sector. He expressed hope that this would ensure ongoing growth for the company and enable it to serve the Victorian market in a better and more comprehensive manner.
